I regret that I won't be able to contribute more than occasionally to this newsgroup for the better part of the coming year. My spare time is going to be taken up with work on a new edition of my introductory astronomy textbook. One important addition will be a section on pseudoscience, including Creationism, prompted by my experiences here. I am grateful to all of those who have engaged in discussion on this topic, on both sides of the issue. I have learned a great deal, and been prompted to do a lot of reading I otherwise would not have done. I hope I have not flamed anyone too badly. I apologize if I have. I will continue to read net.origins as time permits. Thanks to one and all who have made this an interesting experience. -- "Men never do evil so cheerfully and so completely as when they do so from religious conviction." -- Blaise Pascal Bill Jefferys 8-% Astronomy Dept, University of Texas, Austin TX 78712 (USnail) {allegra,ihnp4}!{ut-sally,noao}!utastro!bill (uucp) bill%utastro.UTEXAS@ut-sally.ARPA (ARPANET)
