I am amazed, simply amazed, that anyone, including Rich Rosen, would take the
base note seriously. ICR is not now, and never has been, on the net. Rich
should know how easy it is to create a signon of Duane at cadovax or any other
site. Furthermore, no one would believe that Dr. Gish would word a note in
that manner, except of course, evolutionists who *really believe* the straw man
of creationists that they have created. No wonder evolutionists can't under-
stand us. They can't separate our writings from their own propaganda!

I took that article seriously for two days, until I noticed the date.
I have a good excuse for having been fooled. In early March our local
paper published an article written by a local creationist (and a
university professor) fully as bone-headed as "Gish's" article. Not
being familiar with Gish's writing, I have no way of knowing whether
that prank article was in his style or not. And, on the grounds of the
above evidence, an education is no guarantee that a man is not a fool.
Some creationist arguments are straw men already, even before anybody
has had a chance to distort them.
