     I just finished reading SCIENCE ON TRIAL by Douglas J. Futuyma, 1983. He
is the editor of "Evolution", the international journal of the Society for the
Study of Evolution.

     I'd like to recommend this book as a good source for an overall view of
Evolution.  I think it has alot of seed for good discussions.

     Incidentally, I realize that many Evolutionists on this net will reject
this book because of its Medivial science -- specifically Futuyma believes in
a flat earth!  A quote from page 50, "For biologists, one of the benefits of
the great age of discovery was that explorers brought back to Europe natural
curiosities from the far corners of the earth." (-:
