	If this is the experiment I think it is, it has been rather
thoroughly debunked. Other workers were unable to repeat the results,
and this spurred further study of the experiment. It seems that the
authors actually *started* with *two* "cryptic" species of Drosophila
and merely succeded in using selection to establish *visible*
differences between them in the lab. With that date, I rather think
it must be the one I am thinking of, since I have heard of no other
experiment claiming such results, and that was while I was still in
college and keeping up-to-date on such matters. More details about the
experiment might clear up the matter.
