In "Helpful Monsters" (from _Hen's Teeth and Horses Toes_), Stephen Jay Gould refers to W J Ouweneel. Ouweneel is described by Lazar as "a prominent European creationist" [p118]. --- Stephen Jay Gould, _Hen's Teeth and Horse's Toes_, W W Norton, New York, 1983. > > In "Helpful Monsters" (from _Hen's Teeth and Horses Toes_), Stephen Jay > Gould refers to W J Ouweneel. I'm sorry, that last posting was not clear at all. Gould often refers to creationists, but usually with contempt. The irony is that Gould refers to Ouweneel as a source of real information, i.e., he relies on Ouweneel's article as a source useful to his own thesis. -- | Paul DuBois {allegra,ihnp4,seismo}!uwvax!uwmacc!dubois --+-- | "More agonizing, less organizing." |
