First there is disagreement between different workers in a field and often a worker will change opinions about a matter. This results in seperate articles which make contradictory statements, *but* nobody was actually claiming to believe two contradictory things at the same time. The other type is like the one refered to above, where there are two contradictory statements in a *single* publication by a single author! This sort of thing tends to reduce the credibility of the author in question. OOPS - almost forgot to edit the "Orphaned Response" pseudo-subject. -- Sarima (Stanley Friesen) {trwrb|allegra|cbosgd|hplabs|ihnp4|aero!uscvax!akgua}!sdcrdcf!psivax!friesen or {ttdica|quad1|bellcore|scgvaxd}!psivax!friesen
