"Which way do you tilt your head when being kissed?" My office-mate had an interesting response. She said, "That depends on which way I'm being bent." Related questions: 1. If the majority of people in the Northern hemisphere are right-handed, then is the opposite true for the Southern hemisphere? I'm talking about people born in a hemisphere vs. emigrating there. (Consider the tendency for things to have reverse circular directions between hemispheres for reasons of planetary rotation.) 2. Are animals or plants left or right "handed?" (I know some plants have spiral patterns, but I don't know if there is a handedness associated with the spiral. I think that one of my cats is right handed and the other is left handed given one cat's preference for batting things with her right paw, and vice versa for the other cat.) 3. If right handedness is more prevalent than left handedness in many natural systems, from atomic particles to people (a conjecture based on no data), why should this be so? What's right about right that's not so right about left? Dean Radin - AT&T Bell Laboratories - Columbus - cbosgd!dir
