The Computer Vision Lab's computer was taken down and moved about Sept. 15, with no warning to anyone below that level on usenet, which includes most of the D.C. area. The usenet in the D.C. area has been dead since then, with little or nothing getting in or out. It will be difficult to tell when this situation clears up; the Unix "gurus" at Md claim all is fixed, the evidence indicates otherwise. I would appreciate it if anyone seeing this article could let me know by Unix mail that it got through.
