[net.origins] The Great Flood

I am a new reader of net.origins and I have a question. A couple of
years agao I saw a debate of Evolution vs. Creationism sponsered by Jerry
Falwell and something the spokesman said about Creationism struck me. He
said that the explanantion of the fossil record could be traced to the
big flood. Noah saved all the modern animals on the ark, while all the
dinosaurs died in the flood. Does anyone believe this?
What about the flying dinosaurs? What about those that could swim?
Why aren't any of the modern mammals such as the modern horse down with the
Tyrannosaurus Rex since Noah only saved two of everything (well, not quite
everything. Why? Did the dinosaurs sin and the rest of the animals didn't?)
During this televised debate, I found it interesting that the
creationist always finished before his alloted time was up because he had
very little to back up anything he said. The Evolutionist however, always
ran over as he had more than enough the demonstrate what he had to say.
