Radiation Therapy Supervisor Please pass on to interested persons The North Carolina Memorial Hospital, part of the University of North Carolina, has an opening for a Radiation Therapy Supervisor in the Department of Radiation Oncology. This individual will supervise 8 staff technologists in a clinic treating between 80 and 90 patients per day. Respon- sibilities include rotations, call and vacation scheduling, liaison with diagnostic and therapy students, machine qual- ity assurance, development of techniques, policies and pro- cedures, personnel evaluations, and in-service training. Requirements include good communications and logic skills, and excellent inter-personal skills. Must be Registry Cer- tified in Radiation Therapy Technology and have 3 years of experience at the Staff Technologist position. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Treatment equipment includes 2 accelerators with electrons, a cobalt unit, simulator, dedicated in-department CT, hyperthermia unit, remote afterloader, and full complement of brachytherapy sources. A new building to open in Spring 1990 will increase the department size to 5 treatment machines and 35,000 sq. ft. North Carolina Memorial Hospital is the teaching hospital for the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and is located in scenic Chapel Hill, NC.
