(This is cross-posted to several groups -- please forgive if newsgroup is not appropriate. Please address any inquiries to address below and NOT to the "From:" line.) The SPECT Research Laboratory within the Radiology Department of Duke University has immediate opening for 3 research scientists interested in single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). The successful candidates will have an M.S. or Ph.D. in physics, Engineering, Image Processing or a related area and have a strong interest in research. The successful candidates will work with a dedicated group of scientists developing new SPECT imaging geometries and reconstruction techniques. Knowledge of reconstruction algorithms, digital imaging processing, Monte Carlo modeling or nuclear medicine instrumentation is desirable. The long term goal of the SPECT Research Laboratory is to improve the quantitative imaging capabilities of SPECT. There exists a dedi- cated Research SPECT system that uses three large field-of-view scintillation cameras. The laboratory has several DEC and Sun work- stations as well as three Stellar graphics supercomputers. Please send curriculum vitae and a brief summary of research experience to: Ronald Jaszczak, Ph.D. Duke University Medical Center Dept. of Radiology/Nuclear Medicine Section P.O.
