Program Resources, Inc., is recruiting computer and research scientists for the NCI's Advanced Scientific Computing Laboratory (ASCL) located at the Frederick Cancer Research Facility in Frederick, MD. Computer resources include a Cray XMP/22U, a VAX 8600, a VAX 785, Apollo workstations, Ethernet, and etc. The Center's mission is to apply supercomputer technology to problems in biomedical research. Applications include crystallography, DNA sequence analysis, image processing, structure determination, data base management and statistical analysis. Hard computer positions: o Data Communications Specialist (BS/MS,comp-sci), 3-5 yrs experience o Scientific Applications Analyst (BS/MS,comp-sci), 5 yrs experience in scientific programming/analysis Biological science (with computer skills) positions: o Scientists/Sr. Scientists (2) (PhD,biological science), crystallographic, genetics, and molecular biology studies, 0 to 5 yrs experience o Scientist/Research Assoc. (MS/PhD,biological science), DNA cloning and sequencing, statistical analysis, 2-4 years experience Knowledge of VAX, CRAY or IBM computers, FORTRAN, Pascal, or C languages, experience with LISP, PLI, COBOL, and assembly languages, and experience with biomolecular calculations are required in varying amounts.
