Does anyone have any information regarding the number of abortions that are done as a result of rape vs. as a result of medical problems vs. whatever else? I am anti-abortion. As a Christian, I believe that there is absolutely no justification - human life is something that no human can give and that no human may take away. However, I wonder how many abortions are done as a means of birth control (of course all abortions can be considered birth control, I am refering to the modern usage of the term). I acknowledge that unwanted pregnancies and births can cause extreme phisical, emotional, financial and other hardships. But how many pregnancies come from simple irresponsibility? I think that people who do not exercise great care and, as a result, find themselves with a tremen- dous resposibility (as a result of previous irresponsibility) and relieve themselves by aborting are, in many cases, being nothing short of wreckless. A major issue is that of choice. My point is that in many cases (I think), the choice is being made at the wrong time. It is in those cases that responsibil- ity and discretion at the proper time (in the unimpregnated state) would pre- clude the need to make the other choice. --------------------------- Dan Pellegrino ittvax!ittral!pellegri

Thanks for using plain language by referring to yourself as "anti-abortion" rather than just "pro-life".
