<] My friend from Oregon is visiting this week, and as I'm replying to Morgan Watkins' article he'd like to say a few words: -- Kenn the Kenf Guido: Now, I think it's really great that all you people take such a vivid interest in the issue of abortion but I think that the topic needs to be put into proper perspective. Think for a moment what you're talking about here. You're talking about the life of a human fetus inside its mother. The mother bears the responsibility for the fetus and is therefore the one who should decide its future (or the lack thereof). She is the only one physically and immediately affected by the abortion issue and therefore logically the most qualified to decide on it. I think it really interesting to see all these religious leaders make grandiose statements and proclamations on the issue of abortion. They are in fact stating that the mother has nothing to say whatsoever on the issue. I would like to see what those same religious leaders would have to say if women were to start campaigning about some issue concerning male bodies. You can let your imagination play with that for a while. To clear things up here, I am not a woman. I do think, however, that abortion is a woman's choice by sheer virtue of the fact that she is the one most directly affected by the issue and the consequences thereof. Therefore, I feel that those males who make grandiose and self-righteous proclamations on the issue are being facetious and sexist. We should give the mothers the freedom of choice.
