<line-eater food> A message for all of us: I am seeing a couple of strained feelings on this newsgroup, and I would like to propose that we all take a step backward and a long breath. We all have strong opinions about the topic of abortion. Sometimes we don't take the time to read and understand all the meaning in the lines -- and between the lines. I would like to suggest that each of us, if we are unsure of the exact meaning in another's words, should take a few seconds and write a short note to that person and find out exactly what they mean by something that they wrote. Often, just a short note can clear up confusion and save apologies later on. Also, let's all take the attitude that all the others are conscientious human beings. As individuals, we all have differing viewpoints - on everything from pancakes to shoe styles to deeper subjects like abortion. All of us seem to try to state our positions in an objective manner. How about all of us trying to read each others positions in the same objective manner? We may not agree, but we can recognize that the person writing the article had something to say that they felt was important. A good attitude about each other can cut through a lot of name calling. So, how about it? Huh? Have a good day, Mike Dolan AT&T Bell Labs, Naperville, IL ihnp4!ihnp1!dolan
