[net.abortion] mortality rates

I just wanted to make one comment about Sophie's response to "Organ
replacement vs. child bearing". Sophie states:

"The mortality rate for child-birth is still higher
than the mortality rate for early abortions..."

I understand that Sophie is talking about the mortality rate for the
mothers, but what about the children? The mortality rate for early
abortions is 100% (as far as I know) for the unborn children. If
you understand the unborn child as a human being, then that
mortality rate can be understood as a critical problem that far
outweighs the problems of inconvenience to a mother for several
months. If the woman's life itself is in jeopardy, then the laws of
self defense apply, but those are very rare cases.

Have another good day,

If you understand the fetus as what it really is, you'll stop referring
to it as an unborn child, at least in this context; we'll all stop
feeling threatened by your insensitivity; and we will have another
nice day (as you say). But if you keep trying to brainwash people to
your way of thinking, be prepared for a long struggle.
