[ smurf the nukes ] Doubtless a mother experiences much pain and discomfort with a fetus inside her body. However, everyone here has at one time had the unpleasant sensation of having had a woman attached to one's navel. What a drag! No room service either. And even after you're born, they still won't let you go... can't get out of the house, can't cross the street, can't stay out after midnight... a mother definitely gets revenge many times over... <end facetiousness> Seriously, though, the first year or so of life after birth is indistinguishable (to me now) from time before birth; I can't perceive (and probably couldn't at the time) any difference between being killed by my mother before or after birth... At any rate, the pain, discomfort, and inconvenience are definitely not over once the baby is born... ask any mother; she is even less in control of her life afterwards than before. [at least, she has greater legal liability, it seems] Draw your own conclusions. ...tp...(mouser) : "She turned me into a newt." ...ihnp4!afinitc!tp : "A newt?" : "I got better."
