Below is a response from hercules!archiel to a recent article of
mine and my response back to him. I tried to mail it to him but it was
returned as non-deliverable.

>What punishment is the woman being subjected to. Do you really believe
>that pregnancy is a punishment for some immoral act?

I believe two things about this:

	1. Protestations notwithstanding, I believe that what you just
said is behind the stand of many of the persons who consider
	    themselves "pro-life".

	2. I believe that being compelled to complete a pregnancy against
one's will can well be considered punishment.

What I was referring to however, was the punishment awaiting a
woman who terminates a pregnancy if the "pro-life" forces succeed
in making it illegal to do so.

$?

A woman having aborted her pregnancy is perhaps an accessory
to a hienous crime. It would not displease me to see the
individual performing the operation swing.

I have just defined the rightmost perimiter of this argument.
Someone care to delimit the leftmost? Perhaps a Nobel Prize,
with Medals of Freedom to the attending nurses?
