I am not one who favors long, drawn-out personal battles on the net. I only wish to say two things: (1) As a pro-choicer, I am *NOT* pro-abortion. I think abortion is horrible and cannot imagine that I would ever want a woman who I'd gotten pregnant to have an abortion. I simply do not feel that I have the right to enflict my views upon other human beings who may be in situations I do not understand. Further, I have never met a pro-choicer who is pro-abortion. Pro-choice means pro-choice and nothing more. (2) I would like to see Paul respond to my argument rather than insulting me. The piece he quotes is from a brief article of peripheral interest. Frankly, I am tired of discussion on this newsgroup degenerating into bouts of insults. The vast majority of the discussion I've seen has been very intelligent. But, by it's nature, the abortion issue is strongly related to personal views and opinions which really cannot be argued about--people grow into new views of life gradually. I am tired of people thinking their opinions are truths (something I have made clear ever since I began contributing to this group) and I am especially tired of people calling one another stupid just because they hold differing views. -Chuck Densinger {decvax|ihnp4}!stolaf!densinge "I do not have to deny someone else's reality to affirm my own." -Anne Wilson Shaef
