By this argument, one could have also said that it was useless to argue against
slavery and the later oppression of blacks.

But then, especially for you, being a Christian, if there is a human life at
stake, you have no right to sit back and just say, oh well, it is wrong but
that is the way things will be. Note, I am not applying this to everyone,
just those who say they are Christian. If you will truly live up to what you
claim, you must stand up for the innocent children that are being killed left
and right.

Also, cases of abortions in life threatening cases were allowed prior to the
Roe vs Wade decision. The majority of abortions done now are "convenience"
abortions, or "a baby would just cramp my(or someone's) style". This is
not an acceptable justification for the slaughter of thousands of human
beings.

I want to commend you on being able to take a serious look at BOTH sides
of the issue. I wish many of the other contributors and readers of this
net group could relax their hostilities and talk about this issue
in a rational manner as you have. I agree that if the cases for and
against are communicated in this manner, that both sides have a
better chance to understand/accept/compromise each others views and maybe
some progress will get made, one way or the other. There certainly are
no easy answers to this discussion. I look forward to
reading more contributions written in this manner.
