I think it can be explained by the fact that the moral majority is against sexual promiscuity. Since proper sex eductation and birth control make sex safer, both from the unwanted pregnancy and venerial disease standpoints, they reduce or remove the barrier of fear surrounding sex. This in turn would seem to foster a freer attitude toward sex. But why sould they be against sexual promiscuity? I suppose that is a net.religion discussion. It is not a simple question.
