============================================================================= FIRST: You write ... > o Every 21 seconds a baby is aborted. Is THAT right?! Well, if that is anywhere near correct, then thank those women that contributed to the statistics because it going to be THAT many more mouths to feed, bodies to cloth, ..., more schools, more children to brainwash (say, YOU COULDN'T POSSIBLY BE RELIGIOUS COULD YOU ...), more food, more bikes, more toys, ... HEY! I GET IT! You are a Reaganite and you want to encourage a growing population to keep up the demand for goods so BIG BUSINESS can be bigger than ever, right?! SURE! I understand now ... I can continue the sarcasm, but I will only restate my point. There is a PRACTICAL consideration in everything you do. (not necessarily YOU, spe- cifically) You know very well why the Abolition Amendment was junked. It wasn't because alcohol consumption suddenly became moral or started to en- hance driving. In this case, enforcement is beyond the ability of the government. Can you prevent *ALL* abortions using law enforcement techniques? You will have to monitor all sexual activities if you want to even come close. ============================================================================== > Hardly a case of poor struggling women desparately seeking a way out of > a horrible situation. You are obviously one of those traditionalists that never die but simply keep posting to USENET or become President. You def- initely rank with Phyllis Schlafly and others who insist that WOMEN'S RIGHTS include the right to be pampered, the right to be supported, the right to be defended, ... How romantic! But this is a serious issue! Please get out of your dream world! Indeed you have started preaching in the TRUE sense of the word! God?! Are you suggesting that the `Christian God` should be used as the basis of your argument? (Don't! I will corner you quickly, if someone else does not do it first.) You had better formulate your views from a neutral standpoint first, or your argument will NOT be valid! [And WHAT neutral standpoint have I used? Practic- allity. This, by itself does NOT take sides. God, on the other hand, especially the `Christian God`, automatically associates itself with a set of RIGHTs and WRONGs, which is NOT neutral!] In regard to your last statement: I wouldn't trust you with a water gun ... =========================================================================== It's people like you who try to tell others what is right or what is good for them that make me absolutely sick! Why can you people go away so normal people can live a normal life as THEY want to?! Keebler
