[net.abortion] correlation, you bet

>"it's my right and I don't give a damn who it hurts!"

Seems to me that is more a problem with the pro-lifers.

>The real issues are coming out, aren't they? You are now saying what I have

>baby killed, I don't care what anyone else says, it's my right.

Zip, pop, check that. If you want _the fetus you created removed_. . .
but you can't kill MY baby. You can't in fact say a damn thing about MY
baby, except maybe to tell me in restaurants that you don't like her yelling.
And then I'm likely to tell you I have _my_ rights, too.

Parents have a sovereign right over their children (there isn't much of any
other way to handle it) and government/social services are loathe to
intrude unless something is very wrong. This leads to lots of dropped
investigations of child abuse, lots of deaths of children every year. But-
Would you like the job of sitting in judgement on howmany million parents
all year long?

There are certainly _many_ sticky issues about the question of who has what
rights to survival and at the expense of whom. Just who are you proposing
should bear the costs for your removal of their rights? IF I give up my
rights to my personal sovereignty to you -- will you bear the cost? Seems
to me you are asking people to give up their person-hood for your sense
of morality, but you expect to get off scotfree. Hmmmmmm.
