Speaking of Beatlemania, while attending the Chicago Beatlefest this summer, we had the pleasure of hearing a band perform called Liverpool. I was very skeptical about them, but I'm happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Is anyone familiar with this group and do they ever tour the U.S. outside of the Beatle festivals? I understand from a reply I've received that Liverpool is a Canadian band that originated in the 70's doing Beatle songs and eventually wound up doing some original material of their own. Apparently the lead singer from this group is now a successful songwriter. The band called Liverpool that I saw in August of 1984 at the Chicago Beatlefest also specialized in Beatle material, but whether the two bands are the same, I don't know. It's possible that one may be a genesis of the other. Again, if anyone can send me any information at all on this band, old or new, I would really appreciate it. M. Ashley ihnp4!ihuxm!marno
