Actually, I'd love to see the technology developed.  I think that abortion
is a very difficult decision for the women who elect it, and the thought
that the fetus will survive without the vast reprecussions on the woman's
life may mean a better life for all. I'll bet lots of women who intend to
keep their children would also elect to use the technology --  to reduce
the impact of pregnancy on their careers (and don't nobody try to tell me
there is no effect.  That's giving me the address of your bunker).

It would also be interesting to watch the scrambling of the government
about funding, responsiblity, legal issues, etc.  Interesting, but not fun.
How much do you want government involved in your life, eh?

Come on, Rich, don't you realize there is A LOT of demand for babies to be
adopted?  There ARE serious repercussions to the possible technology -- but 
I believe finding a home for a >healthy< baby is one of the lesser ones.  It's
NOT an easy issue -- don't try to make it one.
