In response to the statement "in this country you aren't required to have any ID at all", in some towns (e.g. Las Vegas), you are required by law to carry ID at all times and can be arrested for not having it.

[] I've always thought using drivers licence as an ID was rather foolish as one can obtain one without ANY proof that you are who you say you are.
