[net.abortion] a survey

vch@rruxo.UUCP (Kerro Panille) (10/09/85)

A while back I posted a survey, promising to compile the answers and post them.

Well, I haven't had the time, as work has been real crazy lately. But I thought
I'd mention something I noticed. Out of the 35 or so replys I recieved, only
ONE (1) was from a self proclaimed "pro-lifer!" I don't think that I recieved a
representative sample of the net.abortion population. Then again, mabye I did.

I tend to think that the ratio of pro-life to pro-choice people is not 1:35.
Either that, or the pro-life population is really a very small minority.

The rest of the replys are very well distributed, in age, religious orientation,
and sex (although more males replied than females). Almost every reply
indicating a religion (some were athiest) said that they considered themselves
strong belivers. Very few actually had abortions.

When I find the time, I'll post the actual numbers and anything I can derive
from them.

Thanks to all who replied! Some of the replys were very enlightening.
