[net.abortion] manipulation, and a tale of the city

I heard today of a girl whose parents threw her out of the house
because she had an abortion. She will never be welcomed back.

You call this "better pro-life morals"?

Ann

(BTW, Mr. Dubuc seems to manipulating us by always saying "she"
when referring to a fetus. Take note!)

And I've heard of girls who were thrown out because they *wouldn't*
have abortions. So what is that supposed to prove?

It proves people of all races, creeds, and what-have-yous can be s**theads.
I think the original posting was probably meant to imply that the pro-life
groups cannot claim the moral high-ground on this issue. It failed to do
that. But it does serve to show that people on both sides of the issue can
be both thoughtless and heartless.

No. I call in intolerance, which has nothing to do with the
true(*) pro-life position.

(*) I have also noticed that some people (who will remain nameless)
oppose abortion on purely religious and/or moral grounds that
do not seem concerned with whether the fetus is a life or not.
I would not consider this a true pro-life position.

Ah, my feelings are hurt. I've been trying to manipulate you
by using gender neutral pronouns, and you didn't even notice. :-)

But seriously now, do you believe that some of our readers
think one sex is better then the other? Unless one believes
a particular sex is superior how can the choice of pronoun
affect you?

Of course I could be wrong.

Personally, I think WOMEN are MUCH better. (but I guess that's just my personal
preference... They're much more fun!)
