HEY! YOU GUYS OUT AT HP! We just received our brand new HP9000 series 500 and were all set to hook up to the main Vax and shuffle everyone over, when, lo!, I discovered that there's no uucp stuff (not even cu) delivered with the system. It's an "accesory". Naturally, our sales rep didn't have enough knowledge to warn us about this... My question is, why do you get the uucp stuff on the series 200, but not on the series 500? -- From the pooped paws of: Suk Lee ..!{decvax,linus,allegra,ihnp4}!utcsrgv!spoo

The 200 product came out a little later and they decided to bundle the Async package with the core product. The 500 will follow suit beginning with the 4.0 release this summer. (DGL graphics is also bundled.) If you are on support service, your update will include Async. Unofficially, but hopefully correctly, from...
