...there being, as was stated, no such thing. Around here there is a good-sized chain of stores called Canadian Tire. I don't know if they're national or regional, but they have about 25 locations around Toronto. They sell gas, auto accessories, hardware, housewares, and even a few tires. And they have an unusual practice about payment: if you pay in cash, you get back discount coupons that you can use next time you go there (if you remember to bring them). The discount rate is something like 3% or 5%, so the coupons are printed in denominations like 5 and 10 cents. They are colored and have the denomination in the corner and have a picture on them... in short, they look like money. (Not as nicely printed as most real money, but close enough to be familiarly called "Canadian Tire money".) You guessed it. There have been instances of Canadian Tire 10 cent coupons being passed in Europe as Canadian $10 bills.... Mark Brader
