My home machine is still a 4.77 Hz IBM PC with 20 MB HD and 256K on the motherboard. I currently have a JRAMIII PC memory card with 1.4 of (256k 150ns chips), backfilling to 640K and the rest configured as 3.2 EMS memory. The makers of the JRAMIII say they will not support the LIM 4.0 standard (hardware changes on card needed to support LIM 4.0 - their drivers mess with DOS to preserve ramdisks through reboot) What XT compatible EMS cards currently *fully* support LIM 4.0? I know about the Intel AboveBoard 286 and Intel AboveBoard Plus; I think AST also makes an XT compatible one. But these cards are expensive. Are there any cheap, XT compatible EMS cards that fully support LIM 4.0 EMS? Thanks in advance. Please E-Mail and I will summarize useful replies to NET.
