Shalom (y'all), Looks like this newsgroup is off to a good start. Thanks, Dave and Avi, for startng this. Apparently the support is there for all you skeptics! I hope this is not just a flame (:-)) that will quickly burn out. On to my questions: 1) Does anyone now of, our have the source for a conversion program from Hebrew dates to common dates, and/or vice/versa? Or, barring that, at least a formula of some sort. For example, when IS a year full, normal, or deficient? (I know how the leap years work.) 2) Does anyone know of a kosher taco seasoning mix, or know how to make it from scratch? I have never had tacos, but would like to try them, Ortega taco shells and taco sauce are kosher (O. K.), but their seasoning is not. I haven't the foggiest idea why not. The ingredients don't look questionable. Is the seasoning necessary anyway? Please reply to me for both questions. I'll summarize if necessary. I was informed by an Orthodix Rabbi who supervises Kosher eating facilities that the Ortega Taco Sauce carries an unauthorized Kashruth symbol, is not kosher, and should be avoided. The tacos themselves are Kosher. - Toby Robison allegra!eosp1!robison decvax!ittvax!eosp1!robison princeton!eosp1!robison (NOTE! NOT McMillan; Robison.)
