I'm interested in any comments people may have on decent places to go for a vacation if you keep kosher. Israel, Miami and the Catskills all have lots of kosher hotels, and I know about those. I understand there are kosher hotels also in Acapulco, Hawaii and Nassau. Has anyone been to any of these? How do they rate? What other alternatives are there (aside from the obvious one of staying in a non-kosher hotel and frequenting a nearby kosher restaurant)? If anyone is interested, I have a guide listing KOSHER hotels and Restaurants in Europe. It is printed by SWISSAIR. If you want info about a particular country, it will be my pleasure to respond to you individually. Scandanavian Airlines (SAS) also have a brochure on "Jewish Life in Scandanavia. It lists all sorts of goodies, synagogues, community services, kosher places ,and the like. Varig airlines has a similar brochure on Brazil, and the same for KLM and Amsterdam. It would appear that most countries publish some type of information on Jewish Life (if there is a sizeable community). If I can offer any personal assistance, just let me know; -- Gary Gladstone ...watmath!watrose!gngladstone
