This is an addendum to my recent re-posting of my Reform Synagogues article. After receiving mail from Avi Gross on the matter, I have realized that the scope of my request may have been too narrow. I do not mean to pidgeonhole anyone into Reform, Conservative, or any other classification. Indeed, my old congregation, being in an area with a low Jewish population, had to cater to the needs of a wide variety of Jews. So, though it is officially a Reform synagogue, the Friday night services are conducted as 'Reform' services, while the Saturday morning services are conducted as 'Conservative' or 'traditional' services. In light of this, I would like to clarify and extend my request: regardless of your personal 'classification' or lack thereof, please feel free to respond in regards to ANY congregation that you presently or have at once attended--Reform, Orthodox, or whatever. Even though I probably would not consider joining an Orthodox congregation, I don't want to draw any lines or exclude anyone from this survey, especially since the results might be of general interest to this net. To everyone who replies, thanks in advance. -- Reaching out through the void of netland... Walter Scott Yale University decvax!yale-com!scott
