For those people who work at AT&T-BL in Holmdel, NJ (and
cannot or choose not to go to the daily minyan), I have
discovered a good place to daven mincha without
interruption. If you stand near the railing facing the
front of the building in buildings 1 or 2 (in the far corner
is optimal) people think you are just staring out over the
pond. (Lots of people do that.) You can pick a floor other
than your own so no one you know will approach you. If you
have a siddur, people will think you are reading.
The phone booths are no good, because they are little rooms
with seats, so it looks pretty funny if you stand there for
any period of time. Also, they are opposite the stairwells,
so people you know are always walking by. And, finally,
some of them face west, so you must daven facing the
hallway.
If you are davening after 1:30-2:00, go into the cafeteria
and stand in the back behind one of the walls. No one will
see you, let alone bother you.
