When Israel was militarily active in Lebanon, there was an outpouring of protests in all of our national magazines and newspapers. A typical approach would be a large advt proclaiming that "I cannot keep silent while...". Many Jews proclaimed their opposition to Israel's actions and expressed great concern over the fate of the Lebanese. I have searched for these same protests now that non-Jewish Semites are killing each other in Lebabon. The typical approach now seems to be "I CAN keep silent...". I wonder why? - Toby Robison allegra!eosp1!robison decvax!ittvax!eosp1!robison princeton!eosp1!robison

Personally, I cannot really attack any nation for waging war against another nation with which it is at war. No flames from me about the Iraq reactor strike, etc. I suspect that the Israelis are hit so hard for anything that even approaches a foul because they often manifest a very annoying self-righteous attitude that makes it a joy to catch them in a lapse. Just as a anti-porn Evangelist caught in a S&M parlor would probably hit the headlines.
