[] One of my favourite Gematriot: Kings I Chapt. 7 Verse 23: "And he made a molten sea of TEN cubits from brim to brim, round in compass ..........., THIRTY cubits did compass it round about." You and I know that the circumference was really 31.4159. But maybe it really was........ Hebrew word for circumference is "Kav" (koof vav) , here it's written "Koof Vav Hay" (but still pronounced [kree] Kav). Gematria of Kree: Kav = koof + Vav = 100 + 6 = 106 of Ktiv: Koof + vav + hay = 100 + 6 + 5 = 111 Now, divide "ktiv" by "kree" and multiply by value of circumference written in text. 111/106*30= 31.41509 Not bad, aye? I have a whole arsenal of gematriot, I'll type them in if I'm bored one day. Comments to: -- Eli Posner {allegra,ihnp4,linus,decvax}!utzoo!utcsstat!rao
