+ People interested in linguistics might be interested in reading translations of the "Ma Nishtana" passage of the Hagada (Jewish Passover Service) into Ladino (Judeo-Spanish related to 15th century Castilian and intensively studied at several Spanish universities) and modern Castilian Spanish which is the official dialect of Spain and Spanish-speaking South and Central America. In the transliteration of the Ladino (usually written in Hebrew characters) consonants are as in English except that x represents the Spanish J and Hebrew heth sounds and except that b is almost like b in English and v is almost like b in Spanish. Vowels are represented as in Spanish.
