Nothing like a little example to make my point: "Nothing would have seemed more worthless to my grandfather Hakam (Rabbi) Hassan than a modern liberal arts **goyish** type education." This quote is from Mr Martillo and is rather mild for him ( and definitely taken out of context - see Art # 458 for the full text). Would YOU want a "goyish" education ? Doesn't sound like something good and uplifting does it ? My point made from Art #459 is the pejorative use of this terminology (Goy, Goyim, Goyish, whatever...). How can Jews (as a group) expect to get better'n they give ? P.S. - I'm an elementary student in Spanish and recently learned that "el martillo" means "the hammer" in English. [for the golems and dybbuks to "nosh" (no offense intended)] Dear Bob, Considering the numerical size of the Jewish population in the world, I would suggest that you look elsewhere for better examples of alleged ethnic slurs. Any harm that occurs from the use of the words goy and goyim is small enough to be irrelevant. Actually, the insulting phrase is usually "dumb goyim". The noun
