[net.misc] Supper Bowl

I tip my hat to the coaching staff and players of the L.A. Raiders.
They took the game right to Washington and made Washington play there
game, not the other way around. I was reading in the Indpls Star
just now. They talked to Gibbs, and Flora (sp?). Gibbs said in that
interview that screen that the Raiders scored on was the same screen that
had beat the Raiders before. Why not go with something that works. At the
same time TOM thought that was the play that Washington was going to run
(remembering the last game) and put that linebacker in just for
that play. All he had to do was watch the flat in that area. Which he did,
a very well I might add. Lyle helped out on that play by getting up to block
some of Little Joe's vision, which he did because Little Joe did not even see
the linebacker until he was standing in the END ZONE.

You could see all hope for Washington completely leave at that time
and never return. I did think how ever that Washington would make it a better
game then what it was. If for nothing eles then just for the pride in the
players.I was very close on the calls concerning the blocked field goals.
Rookies and fumbles did come up in the game as I said they would. To bad
Washington did not take advantage of the turnovers that was hand them.
(the punt, allens fumble on the sweep)

To Joe Gibbs and coaching staff that feeling that has only been felt
by one person, of winning two super bowls back to back. Will be gone for at
least for two more years. To Tom Flora and coaching staff, you've got number
three now let's see if you can make it number four. Both of which Chuck and
staff at Pitt. has done. Big John did pick up enough money to pay for his driver
for another year, thats just about all he got out of that game all together.
Mr. Allen, well he turned quite a few heads this past Sunday, all the more
power to a fine cut-back runner. I hope the ring fits well Raiders.

Until next year, when we the 49'ers will be back.

              49'er ron

P.S.
Lyle will play for at least another year.
