Mr BenDavid, Please receive my forgiveness with an open hand. One of the original sore points between us specifically hinged on the taunting of children by their peers and what should be done about it. As a former sufferer of the "school yard taunt" (although not for religious/ethnic reasons) I have had it handled several ways. My personal, experienced opinion is that, in the long run, teacher intervention made the psychological part of the problem worse. Actual physical abuse of course should be dealt with but I think it is a losing game to try to suppress the verbal abuse. Even if we were successful in quelling the verbal abuse, what about body language ? I could still be told from the very obvious protruding tongue to the haughty look, to the cold shoulder, etc. etc. Can the school administrators adjust everyone's attitude toward me ? No ! The Administration cannot make me like you or you me. The thing I learned was that you just have "consider the source" as momma and daddy used to say. Another thing I learned was that if you were physically abused that if you stood your ground occasionally the bullies would say "Why are you so upset ?" (Where have I heard that recently ?) Anyway, I do have further questions and have found some other references on Judaism and Polygamy which I will submit to the net a little later (Lord willing). Let's get on with it !
