The most reliable way to contact Israel is though Bitnet, which provides almost instantaneous connection to the following sites: HAIFAUVM Haifa University ISRAEARN IBM_Israel_SC_-_Haifa TAUNIVM Tel_Aviv_University TAUNOS Tel_Aviv_University TAURUS Tel_Aviv_University TECHMVS Technion_-_Haifa TECHNION Technion_-_Haifa TECHUNIX Technion_-_Haifa WEIZMANN Weizmann_Institute_of_Science WISDOM Weizmann_Inst._Dept._of_Math. Other features: interactive communications (esp. attractive for Unix users, though one may write some IBM EXEC files to make life easier for a VM user-- contact me if you need them); Weizmann's BB. The Hebrew U has names on CSnet and Usenet (Humus) but they never answered my attempts at communication.
