[net.religion.jewish] Jesse Jackson and Falashas

martillo@mit-athena.ARPA (Joaquim Martillo) (01/13/85)

Since Jesse Jackson has publically stated that he intends to try to help
facilitate emigration of Falashas to Israel, note should be taken that
historically and to the present day the main persecutors of the Falashas
have not been whites but black Christians not unlike Jesse Jackson.

Of course, Muslims have also done their part. For Falashas Yehudah
(Judea) and Shomron (Samaria), the so-called West Bank, are popular
areas of settlement. While I consider the Jewishness of the Falashas
dubious, settling them there is good because the Arab Muslims under
Israeli rule are intense anti-Black racists who will immensely disturbed
by the presence of blacks.

Why is this good? Are you hoping that anti-Falasha riots will provide
the excuse for your Final Solution to the Muslim Question?

"Final Solution"? Sure. You can sit back in your armchair and cook up
these allusions to the Nazis. I, on the other hand, have talked at length
with Jews who experienced the Holocaust and lived to tell about it.
Well, I haven't talked much with my uncle about Auschwitz---that
would be like telling a lady, "I'm curious about how you were raped." But
I have talked to my other uncle, who fled from the Nazis. And I've read
the statistics. Comparing Nazi Germany to Israel is like comparing the
MacDonalds killer to you; the killer is a crazy and evil man, while you are
at worst merely a jerk. And perhaps you are a nice person most of the
time.

Whoa. I don't see where the Baba was comparing Israel to anything. I read the
"your" as referring to Martillo (and I sure as heck hope his opinions are not in
any way representative of official or unofficial Israeli policy!).
In relation to Martillo, I see no problem with using the term "Final Solution,"
with all its connotations, to describe his aim of liberating the world from the
unspeakable menace of Islam and its adherents. Martillo has posted articles
advocating the subjugation of "Muslim countries" (left undefined) and the
eradication of Islam. He did not detail how he proposed to re-educate those
who persisted in their beliefs, but I don't think he would be willing to wait
until they died of natural causes. I don't think Martillo has got very far
with the implementation of his policies yet, but that does not diminish my
distaste for them. It is a pity that Greg Kuperberg, despite his knowledge of
the Nazi atrocities, is not sensitive to the seeds of the same ideas contained
in Martillo's postings.

I'm terribly sorry. I didn't know that Martillo was the embodiment of Israel.
Had I known, I would have been even more disturbed by his advocacy last year
of "cleansing" Lebanon of Islam.

On a less sarcastic note, I really am sorry about this sequence dribbling over
into net.religion.jewish, as it is not a good place to bait a racist who
happens to be Jewish. In the future I shall try to harrass Joachim in
net.politics only.

Well, I for one don't see how Jackson's winter apparel has
anything to do with politics. His footgear probably varies
with the seasons, and frankly I don't think it has a place here.

Actually, not a bad idea. After all, Yasser Arafat and his cohorts
discuss a FINAL SOLUTION OF THE JEWISH PROBLEM every chance they get.
Just read transcripts of their last parliamentary session in Jordan.
Better get them before they get us, eh ?

Seriously, I think Kahane's proposals in 'THEY MUST GO' are a much
better idea. "Persuade" all the Arabs living in Israel to leave, much
as Jewish residents in Arab countries were "persuaded" to run for
their lives.

I am not a great Torah scholar, but I don't remember this. Is this last
quote truly Torah?
