I have an uncle who is obsessed with studying the bible in Hebrew and Greek. Does anyone know of a system designed for this purpose? I seem to recall reading something about a Hebrew word processor a year or so ago, does anyone have any information about it? Obviously he's looking for something that has the bible already on file somewhere as opposed to typing it in himself. Is anyone aware of any software available for micros that would accommodate studying the bible in English? I've heard Apple has such an animal on the market, any reviews? Any and all information/pointers will be appreciated. I will summarize to the net if I receive enough replies. Many thanks, Steven G. Liptak sgl@psuvm.bitnet -or- liptak@gondor.uucp

Ditroff/Ffortid, An Adaptation of the UNIX DITROFF for Formatting Bi-Directional Text. FFORTID was used to extend DITROFF for preparing text with a mixture of English and Hebrew. The authors are Cary Buchman and Daniel M. Berry of UCLA. As for The Bible on micros, the only package I've seen (available for the IBM-PC and possibly others) is a copy of The Bible with an analysis program called (ugh) THE WORD Processor. -Ron
