[net.religion.jewish] NYU and UCLA

cs193bah@unm-la.UUCP (03/04/85)

It seems that the East and West coasts are more similar than I
thought. Why even the anti-semites think alike!

For years, people in the Los Angeles area have been referring
to UCLA as "Jew-C-L-A", ostensibly because of the large amount
of Jews there. Now I read in a Hebrew newspaper that NYU is
referred to in the N.Y. area as "N-Y-Jew"!

Has anyone else out there heard any similar defamations about
any other universities in the country?

One thing though, NYU is now becoming better known as N-Y-Chou, with the
influx of oriental students...

Boston University (BU) is referred to as B-Jew.
