[] Excerpts from the Jewish Weekly 3/22/85: The Rev. Jerry Falwell, leader of the Moral Majority has apologized for calling for the "Christianization" of America. Falwell said "We were wrong, and we are sorry" to a group of more than 1200 Rabbis at a convention in Miami Beach. Falwell praised Israel and spoke of his "love for Israel and the Jewish People." He promised to mobilize conservative Christians on behalf of the Jewish State to fight anti-Semitism. Describing Israel as "America's only true friend" in the Middle East, Falwell declared: "We ( America ) owe more to Israel than Israel owes to us in dollars and cents. Every dollar we spend is the best defense dollar we spend anywhere in the world."

Oh My! How out of character, ...sure someone didn't slip something in the Rev's coffee?? I am usually one to try to believe in the 'goodness' of my fellow man (i.e., I trust someone 'till they prove me wrong..), but this is one snake I wouldn't trust even if he were encased in concrete... The only way to negate the horribly anit-[semetic|humanistic|black|intellectual|etc] things that Mr. Falwell stands for is to raise the level of education of the people of this country (to say NOTHING of every where else..). Remember, 'Education is NOT a Spectator Sport', get involved! Use your head, and don't think that someone like Jerry Falwell is going to change his spots overnight....
