The recent publicity over the discovery of the body of Mengle (sp?) has caught me totally off guard. I had to personally speak to a victim of the holocaust to find out the true nature of this person. Another incident happened a few months ago which hit closer to home. A Nazi war fugitive was discovered living in the central Massachusetts town of Shrewsbury. His home was less than a mile from where I work. Needless to say, once he was discovered, he crossed the border to Canada. These events pointed out to me how ignorant I am in knowledge of these matters. Knowing ones heritage requires more than watching The Holocaust on TV. It requires being aware of what is going on around you today as well as what has happened in the past. This morning I read an article that shocked me. It was about computer networks set up by the American Nazi Party and the Klan. Again I was caught off guard. I am attaching a copy of the above mentioned article. It is written by Prentiss Riddle and appears in the most recent HUMAN-NETS Digest (V8 #20), which is distributed over the ARPAnet. I am passing this information along in the same sense as Mr. Riddle, so that we might "Know Thy Enemy".
