I've got two requests for the New Yorkers out there: 1) A friend of mine (Joel Dukelsky) is looking for a part-time job in N.Y. He'd like to learn in yeshiva part-time and work part-time in computers. He is currently a programmer at the CNA Insurance Company in Chicago and has about two years experience. He is mostly familiar with Cobol,JCL, and PLI. Does anyone know of any openings? Where is his best bet -- where should he be looking? 2) I'm trying to transfer to DEC in N.Y. and ,IY"H, should be getting an offer soon. Where is the best place to live in N.Y.? I don't mean this as a flame. Where is the best place for a Jewish Orthodox boy, working in Manhattan and looking for someone to share the rent, to live? I'm a Yekke by birth, but I understand that Washington Heights is not the best neighborhood, crime-wise. Borough Park? Flatbush? Queens? Riverdale? Long Island? Monsey? Thanks, dave P.S. DEC employees have been having problems getting the USENET lately, so I'd appreciate private mail, if possible. Thanks again.
