Shelli Meyers posted mail recently to the effect that non-religious Jews are in the minority, and that of that minority, only a small percentage reads net.religion.jewish (this was in a reply to Rich Rosen). Mr/Ms Meyers feels that the net is for RELIGIOUS issues, and these wouldn't interest that small percentage of non-rel. Jews. I would have to disagree with all of the above. First, non-religious Jews are not in the minority, either in the universe or among net.religion. jewish readers. Second, I feel (no proof, but a survey would be nice) that non-religious Jews read the net avidly to gain an understanding of what Jewish religious issues *ARE*, and also just to feel part of the Jewish community.
