[net.religion.jewish] Weekly Dvar Torah

I'd like to thank all of you out there who responded to articles #3
and #4. I am in the process of responding to you all.

I have seen a number of proposals of the Net for Torah articles in
the areas of Hallacha, Hashkapha, etc. I should like to propose a week-
ly Dvar Torah of the Parasha of the week; I am also willing to organise
such a venture: i.e. all those who are interested in submitting Divrei
Torah, please send me your names along with your full electronic address
(i.e. ARPA, BITNET or UUCP path to "ucbvax") and the frequency at which
you want to submit articles (e.g. once every three weeks, once every two
months, etc.). After gathering this information, I'll post a list of
the Parshiot and the names of the people submitting for each Parasha.

I'd also like to hear from the general readership of
net.religion.jewish if they think this is a good idea and if they would
like to make any suggestions.

                           Purim Sameach,
                           L'Hitraot B'Karov,
                           Ephraim Silverberg

No this is not a weekly dvar torah, but a query about them.
Durring the last few months I found that the weekly dvar torah's were
were intellectually stimulating. They helped remind me of the fundamental
precepts of Judaism especially as my memory of my Jewish education
fades. So what happened to them? Will they come back in the fall?
Also they stimulated more interesting and useful discussion than has
been average lately (should rlr be consigned to the bit bucket?
Is Samet a bigot or merely obnoxious about one topic (or even,
horrors, correct)? Anyone feel coerced?).
